Call for Papers: Guest Editor Activity for the new special collection at Journal of Engineered Fibers and Fabrics (JEFF)
Prof. Dr. Ilda Kola from the partner university Polytechnical University of Tirana, Albania, Timo Grothe, a scientific researcher of the working research group “Textile Technologies”, and Dr. Lilia Sabantina together call for papers for this special issue. This special issue deals with hybrid nanocomposites which, thanks to their excellent mechanical properties, can be used as substitute materials for aerospace, automotive and structural or other fields of application. Scientists working in the field of nanofibers and composites are now very welcome to submit their manuscripts to this special issue.
Deadline for submissions: 01.09.2020
Special Collection Call for Papers (CFP) is available on the JEFF Open Special Collections page on the SAGE website.
About Guest Editors:
Prof. Dr. Ilda Kola is currently working at the Department of Textiles and Fashion, Polytechnic University of Tirana, Albania. Her research areas are polymer materials technology, production engineering and technical textiles.
Timo Grothe works as a research assistant in the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematics, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences. His research interests include 3D printing, (magnetic) nanofiber mats, nanocomposites and vertical farming.
Dr. Lilia Sabantina is head of the Junior Research Group “Nanomaterials” in the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematics, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences. The focus of her research is on oxidative stabilization and carbonization of nanofibers and hybrid composites, e.g. based on mycelium of the fungus Pleurotus Ostreatus.
